Evidence shows that access to quality midwifery care is essential to improving overall maternal and infant health outcomes, especially for our BIPOC and low-income communities.
All too often, the main barrier to midwifery care and out-of-hospital birth services is a financial one. The sole purpose of this page is to help bring awareness to the health disparities of our marginalized communities and provide an option to support and help offset some of the financial burden to our families in the Greater Lansing Area, who deserve access to high quality midwifery care, even when they can't fully afford it.
